Plums

Like our apricots they're rather small in comparison to what you'd find at the market - but they have the richest flavor and I wouldn't trade them for anything. At what point in time did humans decide that looks were more important in fruit then taste?

  3. Well, it was after I was in school, because I remember cutting "bad spots" out of practically every fruit and vegetable we cooked at our house. Apples were lumpy. So what! Pears, peaches, cherries....they all had flaws. They were delicious, because they usually came off the neighbors's trees, if not ours.

  4. FireAnt, I find that unflawed fruit is usually tasteless!
